Rocky Mountain PBS Whitewater Rafting Trips
Green River Gates of Lodore
August 15, 2013
2nd Launch Date Announced! **August 23, 2013
Adrift Adventures and Rocky Mountain Public Broadcasting Station (RMPBS) are proud to present the 5th annual four day whitewater rafting fundraiser through Gates of Lodore on the Green River in the heart of Dinosaur National Monument.
Dr. Andrew Gulliford, professor of southwest studies and history at Ft Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, will be the guest interpreter for the fifth year on our first launch, August 15, 2013. During this rafting trip he will shed light on the amazing history and geology of the area.
Dr. Chad Thatcher, Kinesiology Instructor for Outdoor Adventure Leadership program at Colorado Mesa University, will be the guest speaker on RMPBS second launch date scheduled for August 23, 2013. Dr. Thatcher’s passion is for bringing adventure metaphors back to the front country, particularly for living more sustainable and meaningful lives.
Both these whitewater rafting adventures are remote river experiences so participants need to be able to get in and out of rafts with ease. Other activities include optional side hikes and riverfront games at camp.
Trips cost just $765.00 and are all inclusive apart from personal camping equipment, which is available for rent.
To secure your space on this once-and-a-lifetime trip, please contact Adrift Adventures at 1-800-824-0150. Reservations require a 50% deposit per person with balance payments due within 30 days of trip departure.
