Green River Rafting Utah
One-day Split Mountain Gorge
Experience Utah rafting at its best on a one-day adventure down the Green River through Split Mountain Gorge. Visit the land of dinosaurs, wild geologic folding and colorful canyon history in Dinosaur National Monument. Challenge class III rapids like Moonshine, S.O.B., Schoolboy and Englesby first encountered and named by famous explorer John Wesley Powell.
Paddle or Row?
Trips are usually run in paddle rafts, but oar boats can be requested. Both options hold five to eight people plus a guide. Everyone must paddle in a paddle raft and everyone can just hold on in an oar boat. Families with young children or people who are not reasonably active should consider an oar boat.
Raft Split Mountain Gorge on the Green River
Adrift Adventures explores Split Mountain Gorge by raft each day throughout the summer. Trips depart at 9:00 am and are limited to 25 people. Traveling to the river groups stop to view and learn about ancient Native American rock art from the Fremont Indians who inhabited the area approximately 1,000 years ago. On the river this section offers unique geology and multiple class III rapids. Half way through the canyon the trip stops at a sandy beach where the guides prepare burritos for lunch. More rapids and exploration fill the second half of the trip and approximate return time is 4:00 pm.

A Great Family Rafting Adventure
Children as young as six years old can participate in this educational and adventurous rafting trip in Dinosaur National Monument. We teach people how to raft every day and recommend a paddle raft, where you grab a paddle and help maneuver the boat with instruction from a professional river guide. This is our most popular option as you get to participate in the action and no previous experience is needed. We also offer oar rafts by request, where your guide rows you down the river while you relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
