This five-day Yampa River rafting wilderness trip meanders 72 miles through three beautiful canyons on two rivers in the heart of Dinosaur National Monument. Spend the first three days exploring Yampa Canyon on the Yampa River in Colorado. On day four enter the Green River and Utah to follow part of John Wesley Powell’s expedition of 1869.

The Yampa is one of the west’s last free-flowing rivers and in untamed. What this means is that the flows can be high, the rapids challenging and the experience heartwarming. Most rapids are class III, one is class IV. The weather this time of year can be cooler at night with all types of situations possible.

Adrift Dinosaur is partnering with WinterWonderGrass to deliver RiverWonderGrass – music, rivers, and canyons. Bringing together members of the WWG artist community and friends on a journey through the heart of desert canyons. Empty sandy beaches, majestic hikes, lounging, and silent floats are combined with healthy foods, healing arts, and space to reconnect with the inner spirit. Official musical performance each evening plus improvisational jams. PLEASE NOTE – We operate under National Park Service guidelines, including a nightly 10 pm curfew. This pristine area deserves respect and admiration and while having a few drinks is acceptable, this is definitely not a party.

Scotty Stoughton hosts and brings his affinity for rivers and paddling together with his love of music will cultivate a multi-experiential and authentically orchestrated river trip unlike any that has been done or seen to date. With talented hand-picked musicians, the creme of Adrift’s staff, an organic (when available) special menu, and 4 full river days, transformation is inevitable.

The trip is limited to 20 people so that we can account for the musicians and the support staff.

Trip includes all meals, breakfast lunch, and dinner, all equipment, guides, music, and experiences. Tip not included. Alcohol not included. Guests may bring their own beverages, please no glass bottles! One 12 pack per person can be packed by the guides, the cans will be set up in a cooler with ice each evening, we encourage sharing. NO DRINKING ON THE RIVER. NO DRUG USE ON THE TRIP.
