Lex was born and raised in south central Pennsylvania. Think: rolling green hills, small town vibes and LOTS of dairy cows. After college she migrated south to Asheville, NC where she
made friends with some very rad river runners and started to spend a lot of her free time on rivers. In 2018 she moved west and landed in Jackson, WY. A “ski town” that grabbed her heart and hasn’t let go. Lex’s love of rafting blossomed on the Snake River, with a few trips down the mighty Colorado also stoking the whitewater flames. Learning the ropes from her older brother and friends alike, she found that guiding felt like her calling in this life (at least for now). She says there’s nothing better than unplugging, slowing down and being a steward of these lands + advocating for these rivers to everyone who rides on her boat. Plus who doesn’t love costume dance parties on a beach?!
Off the river Lex fills her time with books, knitting, sewing projects and cross stitch. “Restless hands lead to a restless mind” … or something like that, right? One can never have too many
hobbies or half-finished projects. Outside of river season she’s either at home re-watching Gilmore Girls, or traveling to visit loved ones. And then of course living in Jackson she spends
time hiking around the Tetons, and skiing when that sweet white fluffy stuff falls from the sky!
