Invisible Current: A River Journey into Death & Aliveness
A 4-day guided whitewater expedition through the Gates of Lodore — where
adventure and death work meet.
WHAT MAKES THIS TRIP DIFFERENT
Every Adrift multi-day trip offers whitewater, canyon wilderness, great food, and
experienced guides. Invisible Current includes all of that — and layers in something
rare.
This trip is held in collaboration with a small facilitation team offering daily guided
breathwork, sound healing, and facilitated experiences around grief, change, and
impermanence. You are not just traveling through the canyon. You are being invited to
meet what’s already moving in your life — in your body, in the wild.
This is not therapy. Nothing is forced. But this is also not a standard river trip.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF
• You’re moving through change, loss, or transition
• Something in your life is ending — and you don’t want to bypass it
• You want both adventure and depth, not one or the other
• You’re ready to feel more alive, grounded, and present
• You’re curious about death work but not looking for a retreat center experience.
Located in the heart of Dinosaur National Monument, this 4-day rafting trip covers 44 miles of the Green River through over 200,000 acres of pristine wilderness. Start at the Gates of Lodore in Colorado and end at Split Mountain Campground in Utah.
Experience stunning canyon scenery, multiple Class III rapids, and one Class IV rapid — Hell’s Half Mile.
These intimate river journeys carry you through the heart of desert canyons — empty sandy beaches, majestic hikes, thrilling whitewater, and riverside camping — combined with healthy foods, deep conversation, and space to reconnect with each other and the land.
Alongside the river adventure, the Invisible Current facilitation team weaves in daily breathwork, sound healing, and facilitated group experiences. Adrift Dinosaur’s professional river guides lead all safety, navigation, logistics, and river operations. The facilitation team supports the inner work.
The trip includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner — organic and local when possible), all equipment, guides, and experiences. Tip not included. Alcohol not included. Guests may bring their own beverages. No drinking on the river or until we get to camp each day. No drug use on the trip.

End-of-life doula and educator who guides people in working directly with death, grief, and life transitions. Through Invisible Current, she brings this work into the wilderness, where the river becomes both mirror and teacher.
Sound practitioner, somatic healer, and ceremonial guide. She brings alpine horn, toning, and presence practices that help the body release what the mind has been holding. On the river, her gift is simple and profound: giving people permission to make sound.
Guides breathwork and embodied grief practices that help people move loss through the body rather than holding it alone. Creates spaces where grief, movement, and aliveness coexist.
This journey includes reflective themes related to impermanence and life transitions in a remote wilderness setting. It is best suited for participants who feel emotionally steady and resourced. This trip is not intended for those seeking therapy, trauma processing, or mental health support. Participants are responsible for assessing their own readiness.
This area of Dinosaur National Monument is roadless wilderness. All food and gear are carried on oar boats and we camp at a new site each night. Guides and guests practice Leave No Trace principles. Portable toilet systems, privacy tents, and hand-washing stations are provided.
