Annie Wilson

River Manager / Head Guide / Trainer / Trip Leader

Annie Wilson hails from the Ozark foothills of Missouri just outside of St.Louis. She’s always been a water creature and is forever grateful for the investment her mom made in teaching her to swim as a young lad. She ventured from the Gateway to the West, to a quaint little mountain town in the West Elks, and realized what rivers could do for her soul while living in Colorado. When she isn’t working in Dinosaur National Monument with Adrift, she is instructing for the NOLS River Program, or guiding on other rivers, including Cataract Canyon, Desolation Canyon, Westwater Canyon, Middlefork of the Salmon, and more! Off-river season looks different each year for Annie, but tapping into passion projects, hibernating, dancing, volunteering, practicing her developing Spanish, boating, juggling, and learning new crafty skills are some of the things she taps into for pleasure. She’s a wild child that has a deep love for the Mighty Yampa River and will forever defend it with her heart, voice, and body! She aims to always keep it River Weird and provide a plethora of shenanigans on the daily. The river is home to Annie and she can’t wait to introduce you to the space between the canyon walls, and be your trusted captain down the WHITEWATER!
