Pixie & The Partygrass Boys return for the third year in a row. These favorites of the WinterWonderGrass world bring their deep river knowledge and passion for the canyon. The band have captured audiences across the nation with their unique blend of heartfelt songwriting, high velocity instrumentals, and sing along anthems.
Located in the beautiful Dinosaur National Monument, over 200,000 acres of pristine river wilderness, this five-day Yampa River rafting wilderness trip meanders 72 miles through three beautiful canyons on two rivers. Spend the first three days exploring Yampa Canyon on the Yampa River in Colorado. On day four enter the Green River and Utah to follow part of John Wesley Powell’s expedition of 1869.
The Yampa is one of the west’s last free-flowing rivers and is untamed. What this means is that the flows can be high, the rapids challenging and the experience heartwarming. Most rapids are class III, one is class IV. The weather this time of year can be cooler at night with all types of situations possible.
These intimate river journeys bring together members of the WWG artist community and friends on an adventure through the heart of desert canyons. Empty sandy beaches, majestic hikes, thrilling whitewater, riverside camping, and musical floats are combined with healthy foods, deep conversation, and space to reconnect with each other. Take in riverside musical performances each evening plus improvisational jams.
Bookings are non-refundable, but we anticipate high demand and will make every effort to sell your trip if you cannot attend, you can also purchase event insurance here Travel Insurance if you’d like peace of mind. We recommend this.
